Players at all levels can find a way to get involved in tennis at the Coronado Center. Check the following to see which is right for you:
If you want to compete regularly at scheduled times with players of comparable skill, leagues are for you. You can sign up for a week or a month, meet people, see how it goes, and decide whether or not to continue. Check the sign-up sheets in the clubhouse for these opportunities to get out and play:
Mondays at 6:00 PM: Women’s Doubles – All levels
Tuesdays at 8:00 AM: Men’s Doubles – All levels
Tuesdays at 2:00 PM: Men’s Doubles – 3.5 and above
Tuesdays at 6:00 PM: Women’s Doubles – 3.5 and above
Wednesdays at 10:00 AM: Mixed Doubles – All levels
Thursdays at 10:00 AM: Men’s Doubles – All levels
Thursdays at 6:00 PM: Men and Women’s Doubles – All levels (especially good for beginners)
Whether you are new to tennis or want to take your game to the next level, group drill sessions conducted by Coach Wagstaff are a great way improve your skills at moderate cost. Free for All
Coach Bob Wagstaff and his all-star cast of assistants offer free coaching in the fundamentals of tennis to adult beginners and those returning to the game twice a year in a week-long series of lessons, drills, and play. The sessions are held in the evenings, making it easy for everyone to participate. It's fun, instructive, and free. Racquets are provided. For information, contact the Tennis Center at 501-922-5054.
